Hey there, welcome to the Appalachia group. Tell us a bit about yourself! Where do you live? Where do you fish? What do you like to do other than fishing? What is the biggest fish you've ever caught?
Hey Jason,
Welcome to the site! It was great getting to meet you in Asheville. I first came to fly fishing from smallmouth, which eventually got me into fishing for trout. We don't have much in the way of smallmouth fishing where I live now (Montana), and I really do miss it.
Hello, I'm Ken Calkin and live in Athens, GA. I moved here about 7 years ago from central Pennsylvania. I have a son who lives in Montana so visit him as often as I can and fish Rock Creek, Clark Fork, and other western Montana rivers. In Georgia I fish the Chattooga, and Dukes and western NC streams. I too started out smallmouth bass fishing in PA and then moved to trout
Ken,
Welcome to the site. I know a handful of folks down in Athens, it seems like a great town. If you're ever up near Yellowstone you should look me up and we can fish the park!

Fish mostly Western NC and the Chattooga. I mainly focus on trout in the colder months and smallmouth in the summer.
